Jim Carmichael took up piping in 1973 when he became a member of
the Anderson Highlanders Pipe Band, Carson California. Over the 34
years, he has been in the Anderson Royal Canadian Pipes and Drums,
South Bay Scottish, 42nd Black Watch and now he has been with this
band since July 4th, 2000. He has been a Pipe Major, Pipe Sergeant
and the job he liked best was Colour Sergeant, enjoys the marching
and teaching drill. Jim is also a Funeral Piper, pipes for family and
military veterans.
